Eucharistic Congress Home
Ok, so this isn't really the home of the Eucharistic Congress. That home is really here.
However, I wanted to take the time to compile as many of the videos that I could find into one website. Part of this has been an effort for my own edification. But, I wanted to offer this site to you as well.
The Congress took place July 17-21 in the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, IN. This is the first Eucharistic Congress in the United States for over 80 years. This is an historic event for us to have in the history of the Church.
There are an overwhelming number of hours of video. I haven't had the chance to really listen to all of the videos. I am still working through them on my own. To help you go through these videos, I have added as many key moments in the videos as I can so that you can skip and see the voices that you want to see.
Many of these videos are found on the EWTN Youtube channel. There are a few that are only found on EWTN's website.
As I was working through this project, I noticed something different on the original Eucharistic Revival Website. In the top right corner, there is a link to Relive the Congress. Apparently, for less than you pay for any other streaming service, you can get all of the talks and breakout sessions, all the talks, and a host of other Catholic Content. If you are able, I would encourage you to dive into your faith. Let this be the moment that you choose to live with Christ!
I am not foolish enough to think that you have an unlimited amount of time. I am not naive enough to think that you will devote the time to watching all of these videos.
Because of this, I want to recommend that if you only have a limited amount of time, here are some voices that, I think, you really need to see. There goes without saying that you are not me. You may find some presentations listed here uninteresting. Other presentations not listed here, you may find really compelling. That is why I listed as many key points in the videos as I could.
The Prayer during Adoration. I think this prayer is incredible. Sit and pray with it. Don't just listen, really pray with the video.
Msgr. James Shea. He has an great reflection. This is a great place to start.
Mother Olga. She has a great talk.
Fr. Mike Schmitz. His presentation is incredible. He is a well-known speaker and podcaster. If you only watch one video, start here.
Tony Melendez. I have seen him in person some 20 years ago. His music is great. His brief presentation is very good. I do wish he would have had more time to give us a great talk.
Sr. Josephine Garrett. I was impressed. I have never heard of her before, but really enjoyed her presentation.
Dr. Edward Sri. He is always an incredible speaker. He is a very talented presenter. This is another great place to start.
Deacon Harold Burke-Sivers. I haven't heard him speak before. But I really enjoyed his presentation. This is a presentation that would be good for so many of us to really hear.
*** There will be more that I will recommend, but this is as far as I have gotten so far. Just looking at the names, here is what I would also look at. ***
Msgr. James Shea. He had a great talk earlier, I am anxious to see this one too.
Gloria Purvis. She is a Catholic Podcast that I will listen to occasionally.
Johnathon Roumie. he is the star of The Chosen. (Which, if you haven't watched it yet, please do.)
Bishop Robert Barron. He is a heavy hitter in the life of the Church. He has talks all over Youtube and lots of other media.
Syro-Malabar Mass. I have never seen this before. I want to watch it just to get a feel for it.
All the speakers on Day 5 look good. Chris Stefanick is well-known. I want to hear the homily from the Papal Delegate. And to hear Bishop Cozzens comments at the end.
Finally, I just noticed something as I was preparing this series of sites for you
